Meet The Founder

Hi, I’m Oona — the founder and creative mind behind Flatpackpony.

I started this webshop because I couldn’t find the kind of DIY kits I actually wanted to display — something design-forward, not just two dolphins jumping toward each other.
After going through back-to-back burnouts, I needed something slower. Something that would help me reconnect with myself.

Making things with my hands gave me that calm — and that’s exactly what I want to share with others.
Flatpackpony was born from the belief that creativity shouldn’t end in clutter. Every project should be beautiful, meaningful, and made for modern makers.

This isn’t a mass-production brand. It’s a one-woman studio where every kit is designed, sourced, and curated with care. I built the entire webshop myself after six months of learning and tinkering — and we’re still growing, step by step.

Many of our kits are Flatpackpony exclusives: unique designs you won’t find anywhere else.
We’re not profitable yet (because everything gets reinvested), but we’re growing consciously, improving materials, and keeping quality at the heart of it all.

I dream of taking Flatpackpony further — working with deadstock and recycled yarns, shipping in our own sustainable packaging, and building a community of creative women who carve out moments of calm in a loud world.

Flatpackpony is for those who make not just to pass time, but to find it again.
To pause, to create, to decorate — and to proudly say, I made that.
