How to wash a latch hook pillow

To wash a latch hook pillow, hand wash gently in cool water with mild detergent, avoiding wringing, then press water out with towels and air dry flat to prevent damage. Machine washing on a delicate cycle with cold water is possible for durable items, but always spot clean first and test for colorfastness.

Hand washing (recommended):
Fill a tub with cool water and a small amount of mild detergent such as dish soap or wool wash. Place the pillow in the water, fully submerge it, and gently swirl with your hands. Avoid scrubbing or rough agitation to protect the yarn. Let it soak for 10–15 minutes, then drain and rinse thoroughly with cold water until all soap is removed. Gently press excess water out between clean towels. Do not wring or twist, as this can distort the shape. Lay the pillow flat on a clean surface or drying rack and allow it to air dry away from direct sunlight.

Machine washing (use caution):
First, spot clean any stains with a damp cloth and mild suds, blotting gently. If you choose to machine wash, use a cold, delicate cycle with a mild detergent. After washing, always air dry the pillow flat and never use a dryer.

Tips and warnings:
Always test any cleaner on a small, hidden area first to check for colorfastness. Use only mild detergents and avoid harsh products, especially on wool, as they can damage the fibers. Never wring or twist the pillow, as this can stretch or damage the backing. Avoid heat completely by keeping the water cool and never tumble dry.

  • Other kits & gifts: usually delivered within 7 days.
  • Delays may occur during weekends, public holidays, or due to customs.
  • All prices include VAT.
  • For non-EU orders, our suppliers use IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop) where applicable, so you should not pay extra VAT or duties at delivery.

Returns & Exchanges

You may return most items within 14 days under EU consumer law.

To start a return:

  1. Email us at flatpackpony@gmail.com with your order number.
  2. We’ll confirm eligibility and send instructions.
  3. Return the item unused and in original packaging.

Refunds are processed within 2 business days after we receive your return.

If your order has not arrived within 15 business days, or arrives damaged, contact flatpackpony@gmail.com. We will investigate and offer a refund or replacement when appropriate.
